What is an Import & Export Permit?
An import or Export permit is a legal document required for bringing certain goods into a country or exporting them abroad. Specific products, like agricultural items, CITES or goods regulated by the International Trade Administration Commission (ITAC), need these permits to ensure compliance with safety, quality, or trade regulations. The permit specifies what you can import or export and the allowed quantities.
Why does it matter to you?
If your goods require an Agricultural or ITAC permit, you must obtain it before importing or exporting. Without the right permit, or if you exceed the allowed quantities, you could face hefty penalties, delays in cargo release, or even seizure of your goods. These issues can disrupt your business operations, increase costs, and harm your reputation with suppliers or customers.
